Our pork is from old-fashioned pigs raised on rotationally grazing methods. We raise heritage Ossabaw Island Hogs .
Our pigs are happy pigs. They are a joy to watch as they run around and squeal as we prepare their food. Pigs are omnivores, so unlike cows, they cannot live on grass alone. Therefore, we supplement their feed with whey, vegetables scraps from our garden, organic grain, apples and barley. Pastured pork has a dense texture, is moist, juicy, and tender – incredible flavorful.
